Court Jails 2 Pastors and 3 Imams In Abuja Over Lockdown Violation
A Magistrate court in Abuja has jailed Two Pastors and three Imams for one-month or pay a bail fee of N5000 for violating the lockdown order by the federal government.
The Chairman of COVID 19 enforcement task force disclosed this while speaking with journalist. The chairman noted that the 5 cleric were convicted for holding services in their religious establishments despite the lockdown order in Abuja.
The affected Pastors includes: Pastor Phillips Olumbori of the Celestial Church of Christ, Lugbe, Reverend Moses Chinedu of Mercy city gospel centre, Aco Estate, Lugbe.
While the muslim iman involved includes: Imam Abdullahi Mohammed, in Gwarimpa Estate, Imam Suleiman Idris, Mobi close, Area 11, Garki and Deputy Imam Useni Umar, in Mobi close, Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
The Chairman also said that the covicts should be worried because they are now ex-convicts after found guilty and sentenced by a competent court of law.
