EndSARS: President Has Been Brief, Expect Action Very Soon -Buhari’s Aide To Protesters
The Personal Assistant to the President on Media, Bashir Ahmad, has revealed that the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has been briefed on the recent protest and calls for the scraping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Mr. Bashir made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Friday, while reacting to the nationwide protest by Nigerians over the brutality of SARS officials.
According to him, the President, Muhammadu Buhari has been brief by the Inspector General of Police and legal action would be taken against the security outfit very soon.
He also noted that Nigerians has every right to protest against any ill treatment from any security agency, including anything they see that is not going on well.
In his tweet:
“Good people of Nigeria have every right to protest the police brutality or anything they see is not going on well.
“The President was briefed yesterday by the IG of Police, I am very sure action will be taken and in the best interest of Nigerians. EndSARSProtests,” he said.
The Nigerian police made this known through its spokesman, Frank Mba on Friday while speaking on the nationwide protest against SARS brutality.
