US & international applicants are all eligible for HSI Summer School. Every scholarship has its own requirement and eligibility criteria. Here are the Criteria for Hansen Summer Institute:

  • Bachelor students must have completed two years of college, university, or a graduate student.
  • Be between 20 and 25 years of age.
  • You must be verified by a professor on English language credibility.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have never visited the USA.
  • Visa is not compulsory.
  • U.S. STUDENTS: (Any university in the United States)

  • Upper-division undergraduate with 2 years of college or university or graduate student
  • Demonstrate professional interest in topics related to diplomacy, international development, or related areas
  • and must have shown potential for leadership outside of the classroom in the community, the country, or the area.

After you submit your application (email address, name) for your academic referee, you will receive an email with a guide on how to log in and verify your English ability by answering a questionnaire. This verification will be submitted with your recommendation form.
