Ibadan Polytechnic Set To Resume Academic Activities

After several months of FG closing down academic institutions due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Polytechnic, Ibadan, has said it is making preparation to reopen the school.

This was information was disclosed by the Registrar of the institution, Modupe Fawale, on Sunday in a statement through her spokesperson Solafoye Adewole.

According to the statement, the institution has ordered all deans, heads of academic departments, and all non-teaching staff on grade levels, 11 to 14, and those on essential duties to resume work on Monday.

“This is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the school reopening and attention given to some academic-related issues on the ground.

“Staff are enjoined to wear face masks, use sanitizers/wash hands regularly, and maintain social distance measures in accordance with the regulations of the NCDC and Federal Ministries of Health and Education.

She also noted that the institution might call other staff below 11hrade at any time if the needs arises.

“Also note that others, whom their services may be needed, can be called anytime,” she said.
