Nigeria Has Whatever It Takes To Become The Best Country In The World -Osibanjo
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo the Nigerian Vice President has said that Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa has whatever it takes to be the best in the world.
Osibanjo made this comment yesterday during the grand commissioning of the Nasarawa State Infectious Disease and Research Centre (NASIDRC) in the state capital Lafia.
According to him, Nigeria has the resources, population and great talents to become the best country in the world.
“Nigeria has all it takes to be the best in the world; we have the talents, men and women, vision and the resources it takes to be great” he said.
He further in his statement, commended the Nassarawa state Governor who has taken it upon himself to complete the NASIDRC project initiated by his predecessor, Gov. Umar Tanko Al-Makura even though Nassarawa state is not the wealthiest state in the country.
“Governor Abdullahi Sule has shown leadership qualities by continuing the work initiated by his predecessor, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, behind Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH), Lafia.
“Nasarawa State is not by any means the wealthiest state in the country. In fact, if you look at what Nasarawa State earns and what is allocated to it, it certainly doesn’t come anywhere near the top one third. I call for the policy to be sustained.” he added.
Gov. Abdullahi Sule who spoke at the grand commissioning of the project, said the NASIDRC will serve as a research hub operational research and clinical trials of vaccines would be carried out.
