No Matter How Much I love Buhari, I Will Never enter A mosque and pray for him – Lamido

A former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido has said he would never enter a mosque to pray for the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari and his administration.

The former Governor made this strong sentiment while speaking with BBC Hausa on Nigerian 60 years anniversary.

The governor said he cannot advise Muhammadu Buhari on ways to effectively govern the country, let alone pray for the success of his administration.

According to Lamido, being an opposition to the president forbids him from praying for Muhammadu Buhari’s administration adding that the All Progressive Congress, APC, had labelled his party PDP, THIEVES.

“I am from an opposition party, no matter how much I love Buhari or his cabinet, I can’t enter the mosque and pray for him. People called us (PDP) thieves and voted APC. So, it is left for them to judge now.

“If Buhari is doing good, they know and let him lead Nigeria forever, but if he is doing wrong, we are always there to come and take over in order to do the right thing.” he said.

He further added that Nigeria refuse to progress because the current administration and its leadership has not fully taken the advantage of the abundant mineral resources in the country.

“You can’t say in the past 60 years of our independence that there is no progress, there is. But, honestly, our leaders are not taking advantage of the natural resources we have in the country to make us progress and live better” he said.
