• Our Main Aim Is To Actualize Igbo Presidency, Not Sovereign State of Biafra – Ohanaeze
The South East socio-cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo (Anambra chapter) has on Tuesday, said that its main aim is to actualize Igbo Presidency 2023 not a Sovereign state of Biafra.
The group made this revelation through its president, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene at the end of its group meeting in Awka, the capital city of Anambra state.
The group also disassociated itself from the fight for the Sovereign States of Biafra, stating that they were never mandated to do so.
“We are pursuing Igbo presidency because the executives of Ohanaeze, led by Chief Nnia Nwodo, has the mandate of Ndigbo to negotiate the Igbo position in Nigeria.
“He wasn’t given a mandate for the Sovereign State of Biafra. That’s why we are saying, give us what is due for us, and Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction is what we are looking for,” he said.
